Reader’s Question:

I want to form a partnership with three of my friends. Is there a type of insurance that will protect us from dissolution in the event that one partner dies?

Bill

Dallas, TX

Bill, since more than two partners comprise your partnership, it is advisable that you have clear and definite rules in succession. Like, answer these questions for instance: Are your shares passable to family members in the event of an untimely death, or can one partner have the option to buy another’s shares in case he passes away?

Whatever conditions you decide upon, it will be looked at by the life insurance company when applying for a life insurance that will cover your enterprise.

Usually partnerships are structured in such a way that when one of the partners dies, the partnership is either dissolved, or the living partner has the option to buy his deceased partner’s shares. However, will the living partner(s) have enough cash at hand to pay for the amount of the shares of the deceased partner?

If you have a well-structured buy-and-sell agreement and are armed with a partnership life insurance, you, your partners and all your families need not worry about the company being dissolved. Having this kind of life insurance coverage will make sure you can continue your business.

So, don’t forget to call your agent there in Dallas for quotes for you and your partners.

Life Insurance Policy Donation Texas TX

Reader’s Question:

My friend is planning to donate her life insurance policy to a charity Texas. What are the things that she needs to consider?

Brat

Plano TX

If your friend would like to donate her insurance policy to a charitable institution, make sure that it is a non-profit organization and has a 501(c) (3) status. Term insurance policy prefers the least by these organizations. This is because of the inconvenience of this type of insurance
may give them once it expires. Smaller and local charitable institution prefers donations which they can use as soon as possible because they do not have the resources unlike larger
charitable institutions and universities. These organizations on the other hand may use the money on that policy for investment.

If the reason for donating the Texas life insurance is to obtain tax deduction, make sure that the name of the charity institution is shown as both the beneficiary and owner of the policy. If the name of the institution is not shown in this manner, you will not get a tax-reduction.

Buy Life Insurance Policy Texas TX

Reader’s Question:

Hi, I’m a new mom and planning to get a life insurance policy. How are the things that I should know before I buy life insurance policy in Texas?

Francis

Houston TX

Life insurance differs from each other according to the type of coverage and its amount. If are reviewing several insurance policies, you should consider these two.

A term life insurance policy provides coverage for a specific period of time. This type of insurance policy offers life insurance policy only and does not have a cash value component unlike the permanent policy. This type of policy provides protection for the policyholder in his/her entire life so long as the premiums are paid. The cash value component of permanent insurance policy can be used as investment.

As a parent, you need to ensure that you have enough life insurance. For a parent who stays home, life insurance would make it possible to cover cost such as additional childcare expenses.

Beneficiaries, or the people who will receive payment from the insurance company if the policy holder dies, should be carefully chosen because it would be difficult to change later designation to another individual. To avoid possible delays and additional costs to pay, you should name both the contingent and primary beneficiary in your policy.

Driving Without Auto Insurance Texas

Reader’s Question:

I live in Texas. Can I drive legally without auto insurance?

Gilbert

Austin, TX

The answer is no. You can not legally drive around Texas without insurance. Almost every state requires you to have auto liability insurance and in the state of Texas it is mandatory for all motorists or drivers to have bodily injury coverage. All states, and therefore Texas, have financial responsibility laws. This law requires every driver to be able to pay for any vehicular accident they cause. This is what compels drivers to have automobile liability insurance. And even if you do not wish to carry this insurance coverage, you have to assure the state that if an accident happens, you will be able to personally cover damages to other people or property. You need to have sufficient assets to cover claims if you ever cause an accident. If you are not able to comply with this, if you don’t have enough assets, you must have, at least, the minimum amount of insurance coverage required by Texas. The minimum coverage amount required by Texas’ financial responsibility law is up to $25,000 for each injured person, up to a total of $50,000 per accident, and $25,000 for property damage. And this is as of April 1, 2008. The auto insurance industry, however, has a different recommendation. Their proposal is to have a minimum of $100,000 of bodily injury protection per person and $300,000 per accident since accidents usually cost more than the minimum limits required by states.

Reader’s Question:

Hi. I’m currently shopping around online for an auto insurance Texas. I want to have more knowledge about it before I call my agent. I want to know what types of car insurance coverage are out there.

Paige

Houston, TX

In the auto insurance industry, research is essential. You have to keep in mind always that each person has different kinds of needs, and thus would be needing different sets of car insurance coverage. For, instance, you wouldn’t want to pay for a teenager attachment in your policy when you don’t even have a kid, right?

What types of auto insurance are out there, you asked. One type of car insurance coverage is Liability Insurance. This type will cover all bodily injury and property damages that may result from a road mishap. This coverage will come in handy especially when you get lawsuits. Another type of coverage is a Comprehensive Insurance coverage. If you have this type of coverage, it means that all damages, including those as a result of vandalism, theft, fire, impacts with animals or anything that will damage your car, will be covered. Another type of coverage is the Under-insured or Un-insured coverage. This coverage will protect you financially where the person-at-fault’s car insurance is not enough to cover damages done, or when he doesn’t have any car insurance at all. And last is the Collision Insurance. This will cover damages made by your vehicle when you’re the one at fault.

However, don’t forget to ask your agent there in Houston, Texas what the minimum required coverage is for you because each state has different minimum requirements.

Reader’s Question:

I have recently ran into some financial problems but I can’t postpone getting auto insurance in Amarillo, Texas. I hope I can get one that is sort of on the ultimate minimum-ish range, is there one?

Bong

Amarillo, Texas

Ultimate minimum, huh, you must be really on a tight budget, Bong. But I don’t blame you, times are really tough these days, and I am sure that you feel the crunch in Amarillo, Texas, too.

Minimum required auto insurance by the Department of Motor Vehicles is a liability auto insurance which actually protects not you, but the general public from financial difficulties that may arise when you have caused some injuries or property damage to them. Say a pedestrian was crossing the street all innocent and pure, and here comes reckless Bong driving away with his killer sounds on, banging his head away to the heavy metal music on his stereo. Too late did he notice the poor pedestrian and was able to break though still caused some injuries to the pedestrian. Of course, this pedestrian should not pay for your irresponsible actions and that is why a liability coverage is required for all vehicle owners in Amarillo, Texas. For the ultimate minimum, you should specify minimum liability coverage when you solicit for quotes from various insurance companies. Do not go any further, Bong, this page lets you get five auto insurance quotes with just a few clicks of the mouse, or roller ball, or whatever it is you are using. Let me caution you now, Bong, that ultimate minimum liability auto insurance coverage has to be complemented with tremendous care and responsibility when driving.

Reader’s Question:

My dad is asking me to review this universal life insurance plan that he has. What are the things I should be looking out for when buying universal life insurance in Fort Worth, Texas?

Ernest

Fort Worth, TX

Hello, Ernest and hello to your dad as well!

When buying universal life insurance, it is always a good practice to choose among many proposals before zeroing in on one. I hope that you or your dad has done this and if you haven’t yet, you can do so now by entering your Fort Worth, Texas zip code on the space you see on this page.

Universal life insurance will have the same features from one life insurance company to another. The premiums will vary of course, because insurers in Fort Worth, Texas will have different ways of underwriting certain conditions your dad may have. So it will be advisable to look out for the cheapest proposal, as long as it is offering the same coverage a more expensive one does.

You would also like to look at the reputation of the insurance company your dad is engaging, Ernest. Usual items being looked at are years of service, capitalization, revenues over the years, number of active policies, how much payout has been handed out and the likes, similar indicators which can give you a glimpse of their performance in the insurance industry. The internet is a good database for these information, and they will most probably be available in downloadable annual reports and sustainability reports. You just need to spare some time reading them but it will give you a good picture of what this insurance company is like.

First Vehicle Insurance Houston Texas TX

Reader’s Question:

I just purchased a car, my first brand-new car, actually. I am shopping around for auto insurance in Houston, Texas. What important matters should I take into consideration?

Howard

Houston, TX

Hey, Howard! I remember buying my very first car and the feeling of it, especially a brand new one. I never thought it was possible to fall in love with an inanimate object but for months, I think me and my car were inseparable. But enough of my ex-car, let’s talk about yours.

Insurance, yes, that’s very important. Driving in a very busy city like Houston, Texas, having insurance is really an imperative. You should not go out there in the wild without protection for yourself in case of road accidents. Howard, if you can afford comprehensive insurance, I recommend you do so, especially if you think you will be spending a lot of time on the road. In shopping for an automobile insurance, before talking to an automotive insurance agent, it would help if you ask first your friends or anyone you know regarding their auto insurance experiences. Ask them if they are satisfied with their car insurance providers. Ask them why they are satisfied and how long have they been with their vehicle insurance providers. Based on their answers, facial expressions, and the tone on how they answered your questions, you can tell more or less who has good or bad experiences. Compare auto insurance providers and their quotes. I can give you a lot of tips but nothing will convince you more than actual on-the-road experiences, and testimonies from people who you really know.

Life Insurance Rates Fort Worth Texas TX

Reader’s Question:

I know I should take out life insurance now, while I’m young and have a steady source of income. But how much should I be paying? How much life insurance benefit do I really need? I’m based in Fort Worth Texas TX now and if I do move, I still plan to settle within Texas, probably San Antonio Texas TX, where I originally am from.

Patrick

Fort Worth, TX

Hi Patrick! Thanks for that question – it must be a common enough query in most peoples’ minds. I’m glad you brought it up.

It’s a question that is probably best answered by a few more introspective questions such as how much are earning now, how old are you and when do you plan to retire, what kind of lifestyle do you intend to have and how much are you willing or able to set aside now to spend after retirement here in San Antonio Texas TX? If you don’t earn so much yet and clearly haven’t much flexibility on the amount of money you can invest on life insurance – it’s okay, just start saving!

Look for flexibility in the terms of the life insurance policy. You can quickly view available life insurance policies in San Antonio Texas TX by typing your zip code on this site’s form. I suggest you get several free quotes to help you determine the balance between coverage and cost-efficiency. Look out for a life insurance policy which allows you to upgrade in the future as well as provides a choice of payout terms. That way, you’re not limited by your initial decisions, especially when you are not too sure yet about what you really need.

Comprehensive Car Insurance Rates Beaumont Texas TX

October 31, 2008 by visitor · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Auto insurance leads

Reader’s Question:

This insurance business sure is confusing! I thought the law in Beaumont Texas TX only required auto liability coverage but why does my bank say I goat get collision and comprehensive car insurance?

Andrew

Beaumont, TX

You’re right there, Andrew, the minimum coverage the law requires in Beaumont Texas TX is 20/40/15 auto liability coverage for bodily injury and damage to property. However, some banks usually require borrowers to take out wider coverage to include collision and comprehensive auto insurance. They specify this precisely because it is not required by law.

Look at it this way – if you borrowed money to buy a new car, wouldn’t you want your car to be as safe as possible? You see, collision auto insurance covers the repairs you may require on your bank-financed car in case of an accident while comprehensive auto insurance covers pretty much everything else (eat.go., damage from hurricane, fire, theft, vandalism, etch.). Sometimes, in case of an accident, if the cost to repair the damage comes up to about 70% or more of your car’s value, your collision auto insurance provider may consider your car “totaled”; hence, offer you the actual cash value after having the wreck towed to a salvage yard instead of having it repaired.

Don’t worry, if you enter your zip code in the form on this page, you can probably find an insurer in Beaumont Texas TX which minimizes premium costs by raising your deductibles (if.eat., the amount you need to pay out-of-pocket before the coverage can be used).
